Walk From Thredbo to Mount Kosciuszko: A Scenic Adventure You’ll Never Forget

Embarking on a journey from the idyllic alpine village of Thredbo to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko unfolds as an adventure in the heart of the Snowy Mountains. We are so fortune that this path slightly evaluated from the ground to protect the unique scape also provides access for wheelchair and prams.

With each step, the trail’s gradual ascent allows for unhurried appreciation of the changing scenery. Lunch by a babbling brook or lake becomes a moment of serenity, a pause before continuing the ascent. The terrain transforms as we leave the mans impact behind, exposing alpine vistas painted in hues of sublimed colour, all depending on your name, varying from blues greens to pink and orange during sunset.

Walking beneath southern cross star sky, we prepare for the final leg of our journey we ascent to Mount Kosciuszko’s summit. Amazing to think that in the 1970 tourist were allowed to drive to the summit. Today the crisp mountain air fills our lungs as we conquer the final stretch. At 2,228 meters above sea level, the summit offers a breathtaking panorama of endless horizons, and a profound sense of accomplishment…like a rite of passage for all Australians and visitors.
