Our secure booking system allows you to confirm availability instantly and complete your reservation online.
Booking directly through the Discover Snowy Mountains website can save approximately 5–20% compared with prices on other booking platforms.
By booking direct, you avoid third‑party service fees and receive the best available rate.
Standard check-in is from 4:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am.
Early check-in may be available depending on availability:
- Summer / non-peak periods: early check-in may be possible depending on cleaning schedules.
- Winter (ski season): early check-in may be available with a 5% Early Check-in fee.
Please contact us prior to arrival if you would like to request early access.
Most properties provide self check-in instructions which are sent prior to arrival. This code will be sent to you on the day of arrival at near 3.30pm.
Thredbo properties do not have normal street addresses, so it is very important to download and read the Property Guide provided with your booking confirmation.
The guide includes detailed directions, check-in instructions and important property information.
Yes. Most properties include linen and towels as part of the cleaning service arranged before your stay. Those that don’t are clearly marked on the website in the property details
Cleaning is arranged for every stay to ensure the property is properly prepared for incoming guests.
Guests are not required to strip the beds before departure. However our housekeeping team always appreciates the gesture if you choose to do so.
If you do strip the bedding, please place the used linen in the bathrooms to assist the cleaning staff. As you can imagine, we are not a hotel and you are staying in someone’s holiday home, so please do take care and leave the property in a neat and tidy fashion.
No. Pets are not permitted in Kosciuszko National Park.
Some properties managed by Discover Snowy Mountains are Pet friendly and those are clearly labelled as such.
Most properties provide Wi‑Fi access. Please check the individual property listing for details.
Parking availability varies depending on the property. Parking information will be included in the property listing and Property Guide.
A full electronic Property Guide is provided with your booking confirmation.

Yes. We value returning guests and special offers may be available for repeat bookings.

Before departure we ask guests to:
- Remove rubbish and place it in the appropriate bins (location are shared in the property guide.
- Wash and put away used dishes, clean the BBQ. (a dirty BBQ will incur a cleaning fee of $75)
- Turn off lights and appliances.
- Ensure the property windows are closed and door is locked when leaving.
Guests are not required to strip beds, however if you choose to do so please place used linen in the bathrooms and the housekeeping staff will sing your praises.
Late check-out may be available depending on cleaning schedules and incoming bookings.

Approval cannot always be guaranteed during peak winter periods. So if we kindly say no, please do not take offense.the bathrooms and the housekeeping staff will sing your praises.
No. Our properties are located in residential areas and within Kosciuszko National Park.
Parties, large gatherings and events are not permitted. However some of our properties lend themselves for weddings or family occasions, so please do ask prior to booking.
We ask guests to respect neighbours and observe reasonable noise levels.
Many properties are located within Kosciuszko National Park where entry fees may apply.
Please check the NSW National Parks website for current entry fees and requirements.
During winter, snow chains may be required when entering Kosciuszko National Park depending on road conditions.
2WD MUST carry snow chains and in adverse conditions will required fitted chains (check out our blog of fitting chain chains).
Even 4WD or AWD vehicles may benefit from carrying chains in alpine areas.
Chains can be hired or purchased in Jindabyne. Please check Live Traffic NSW or National Parks websites before travelling

- Dress warmly and layer up.
- Wear waterproof footwear.
- Allow extra travel time.
- Check road and chain requirements.

Property Owner FAQs
We provide full-service holiday rental management including marketing, bookings, guest communication, pricing optimization, cleaning coordination, maintenance coordination and financial reporting.
Properties are advertised through the Discover Snowy Mountains website and major booking platforms including Airbnb and Booking.com to maximise exposure.
We use dynamic pricing based on demand, seasonality, school holidays, events and competitor pricing to maximise occupancy and annual revenue.
Guest payments are held in our trust account and disbursed to owners monthly after deduction of management fees and authorized expenses.
Yes. Owners may reserve their property for personal use provided the dates do not conflict with existing confirmed guest bookings.
No. No management commission is charged on owner-introduced guests.
If an owner cancels a confirmed booking a 15% cancellation fee may apply and the owner may be responsible for any penalties imposed by booking platforms.
Cleaning and property preparation are arranged by Discover Snowy Mountains and/or approved contractors.
