Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB brings trail runners into Australia’s alpine landscape for four distances ranging from 30 kilometres to 161 kilometres. Courses move through snow gum forests, alpine meadows, mountain streams, granite landscapes and sections of Kosciuszko National Park before finishing at Friday Flat in Thredbo. Where to stay
Because every race finishes at Friday Flat and much of the event’s later activity, presentations and recovery take place there, Thredbo is a strong accommodation choice for runners, support crews and spectators. Staying close to the finish is particularly helpful for the longer races, where athletes may arrive late in the day or after many hours on course.
Explore Thredbo accommodation with Discover Snowy Mountains for whole-home stays suited to runners travelling with family or support crews. Having your own kitchen, living areas and additional bedrooms can also make pre-race preparation and post-race recovery more comfortable, while keeping Friday Flat and the main event hub close by.
